1. Change password of Root Account via SSH in Centos<\/h2>\n
First, you need login SSH to your Linux server, then use command passwd to change password.<\/div>\n

-bash-3.2# su – root \u00a0– you don’t need to do this if you already login ssh as root<\/p>\n

Or you can simply launch they Putty and get into the terminal mode and type as follow
\n[root @ hostmayo.com\u00a0~]# passwd root<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

passwd root means change password for account name root
\nChanging password for user root.
\nNew password: \u00a0 (You should type your new\u00a0password here)
\nRetype new password: \u00a0\u00a0(You should retype your new\u00a0password again)
